Since mid-2023, we’ve been measuring the impact of Clinical Connect more intentionally. Our second Impact Report showcases collaboration, growth, and tangible outcomes across Waitaha Canterbury.

Our peer education programme is making a real difference, helping clinicians strengthen their practice, apply evidence-based knowledge, and deliver better care for patients and whānau.

2024 Report

The 2024 Clinical Connect Impact Report shows how our peer education programme strengthens primary care by supporting clinicians and building a more connected, capable workforce across Waitaha Canterbury. Over the past year, clinicians have come together in trusted small groups to share evidence based knowledge, reflect on real clinical cases, and reduce variation in practice. The outcomes in this report demonstrate the measurable difference Clinical Connect makes in everyday practice, showing that when clinicians are supported and connected, better care follows for patients, whānau, and communities.

2023 Report

Our 2023 analysis demonstrates that the Small Group Peer Education Programme does more than upskill individuals: it reshapes how care is delivered. Clinicians formed small, trusted groups to test ideas, share experience and apply evidence together. The outcome was measurable, improved clinician knowledge, capability and confidence; fewer silos across teams; and a stronger, more resilient workforce that provides clearer, more consistent guidance to patients and whānau.
